This is one of my favorite moments from Chapter 6 of my Jujutsu Kaisen fanfic — and of course, I couldn’t resist: I had to turn this scene into art.
The illustration was born from the electrifying tension between the characters. A room surrounded by seals, lit only by the warm glow of Japanese lanterns. A strange, almost comical interrogation, filled with very real danger. And him — Satoru Gojo, the strongest sorcerer in the world, as sarcastic as he is deadly.
The protagonist is tied up, confused — and he simply smiles. As if killing someone was just another charming footnote in a poorly told story.
Now, dive into the scene that inspired the illustration:

So, there I was, tied to the chair in a room illuminated by Japanese lanterns, with thousands of seals covering the walls. In front of me sat the blindfolded man, calm and collected. He was spinning an absurd tale about how the two of us met, as if I had forgotten.
"... so basically, you threw yourself into my arms," he concluded with a smile.
I grumbled before responding.
"Liar!" I said, seething with anger. "That's not at all what happened."
He seemed embarrassed.
"Oh, come on! I put so much effort into that story."
I took a deep breath.
"You said your name is Satoru Gojo, right?" I asked, he nodded. "Well then, Satoru Gojo, please tell me where we are and what you want from me?"
"This is the interrogation and sealing room. It's practically new, but it already looks old."
"Why am I here?"
"I've already told you; a secret execution has been ordered for you. It was something for your own government to handle. But, due to difficulties, the strongest sorcerer and the Jujutsu school of Japan were requested."
"So, you're here to kill me?" I asked, calmly.
"Yes!"
"And why did it have to be you?" I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Basically, because no one else has been able to do it so far!"
"I don't believe his smile." I thought.

🖌️ About the creative process:
🖤 Now I’m sharing the making of this illustration — showing every stage of the visual and emotional construction of this scene.
I used Photoshop to bring the artwork to life. The scene was inspired by a frame from the anime, specifically the moment when Yuji is in the interrogation room with Satoru Gojo, and I adapted the setting to match the tone of my fanfic.

To draw Satoru Gojo, I used a frame from the Voice Makers parody episode as a base — the one where Gojo and Kakashi are interviewed by fans. For the shoes, I used a photo of a model I found on Pinterest, which perfectly captured the pose and attitude I had imagined for him in that moment of the story.

Below, you’ll find the full step-by-step of how the scene was built — from the initial sketch to the final lighting and seal details.

💀 The art based on this scene is already up on my socials — and more illustrated moments are on the way.
