After following the child up the stairs, Dandara enters a spacious, dark, and abandoned place. There, the curse reveals its true form and shares its ambitions. Then, the first part of the battle takes place. The curse waited for Dandara to attack before showcasing her abilities. At that moment, two tentacles emerged with tips that transformed into blades, which she used to whip and drain energy from her victims.
I wanted to illustrate the curse in this intriguing scene to showcase its tentacles. I saw the opportunity to draw it with malice in its gaze and depict a sinister stride as it decides to employ its appendages. Aside from killing, controlling, immobilizing, and draining the energy of its victims, its tentacles also provide immense pleasure to the curse. A sexual pleasure that can even induce an orgasm in her, depending on the level of power extracted from her victim.

It would be quite captivating to depict it ready for an attack. For this reason, I scoured social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest for suitable references. It took a while, but I found exactly what I needed. An angle that displayed its contorted and slender body, with added breasts and widened hips. Next, its sickly gaze and a psychopathic smile. The rest was straightforward, as I used the cover art as a reference for the colors.

I absolutely loved the result. She appeared incredibly sinister in her erotic and bizarre pose. Ready to strike and play with Dandara.

As for the background, I looked for interiors of abandoned buildings on Adobe Stock, cropped the image, and applied a Gaussian blur filter. I added a layer with a solid color, dark blue in this case, then merged the layer using the multiply blend mode and reduced the opacity to give a sense of night. Afterwards, I used a soft brush to paint the layer mask in strategic places, creating an impression of nighttime light streaming in through the windows.

And that's how I crafted that impactful scene. The curse proved to be a formidable challenge for Dandara in this chapter. It still has plenty of plans brewing in its devious mind.
